August is for lovers! Golden sun cascaded over Gatineau hills during this engagement session.
We love working with a couple who has no issues exploring the mosquito-driven, lush fields like these. I’m sure you can’t tell by the engagement photos but we were surrounded by bumbling bees and singing crickets.

Our goal is to create a comfortable atmosphere with a few knock-knock jokes. We will often have a couple touch foreheads, or look into each other’s eyes trying to provoke laughter or an erupted conversation from the awkwardness of having your photo taken. We capture giggles alongside dreamy portraits!
Although we have these tricks, Jared and Kathleen met my ‘This may sound cheesy,’ with ‘We are already weird, let’s do this!’ The matched candidness between these two lovebirds brought a warmth similar to the sunset that sat behind them.
Engagement sessions are a great way to get to know your wedding photographer. Of course, it’s a better way for us to get to know you!
