Base your day on these Wedding Timeline examples by a professional photographer, because why not? We’ve captured a ton of weddings and combined a few timelines to showcase what a great wedding day looks like on paper. 

We mostly work out of Sooke, BC today, but have captured many weddings across Canada’s backyard and found that there are more than a few ways to squeeze extra time in. Leaving extra time for portraits acts as a safety net, as this part of the timeline is easiest to trim back while in procession. 

There is a major difference between having a first look or not, as you can see, arranging for portraits earlier in the day saves you time for champagne and many family portraits post-ceremony. We always try to sneak away during the sunset for a few golden shots, normally between courses.
