Can you hear those bells chiming? Engagement season is here!

As we bundle up for fall and prepare ourselves for winter, couples seem to get cozy to the idea of being together for the rest of it all. I mean, I had a fall maternity engagement last year and got married 6 weeks ago! So this is obviously my personal opinion about engagements, but take it as you want.

I’ve personally known Maenda and Erin for a few years, Maenda went to the same Northern Ontario high school as me (sort of) and Erin since our days in North Bay, Ontario.

Most recently, they moved out to the west coast from Timmins, Ontario and celebrated our wedding with us. Now that they are beginning to settle, it seems my husband and I are moving to Orillia, Ontario.

I think Maenda and Erin are an adorable match. You can see how they compliment each other. In engagement sessions, I adore it when you catch one partner fondly looking at the other while they are being silly. It’s obvious that Erin gave us a straight face during the engagement session to be silly, as we all laughed when the moment happened. However, the look on Maenda’s face while she props up is heartwarming. You can really see the love there.

I guess that’s what it’s all about, finding someone who loves you for your own unique self. What is love if we cannot laugh with one another? Find someone who thinks you are endearing while others think you’re being hilarious.

It’s great to see such a young, wonderful couple, especially when they announce that they are now expecting a child. How exciting is that?! Congratulations to the new family! I can say without a doubt that will be one cute baby with two super cool parents.
