Amber + Ed’s Wedding Photos, Shirley BC
Tucked somewhere between Gordons Beach and Muir Creek is a spot that drips in gold come sundown. Amber + Ed got married on a joyous Monday in August 12km past Sooke and it felt like a storybook.
The Sea Lion Estate is another stunning spot between Sooke and Shirley, showcasing panoramic ocean vistas. We found many photo ops throughout the venue, in trails, tall grass, or their secluded beaches. Little Ben loved exploring each of them and quickly became fond of our portrait/ playing with sticks time.
Golden hour seemed to last all day, and as the sun went down, Amber + Ed had their first dance to a peach-toned sky. The mountains turned lavender and a sliver of a moon came out. You can’t make this stuff up, it sure was dreamy.
Before driving home to Sooke, I stopped at the top of the hill and took a photo of the celebration below. Now in violet light with warm hues coming from their string lights. This felt like a movie.
