Colin + Jessica’s Wedding Photos
Nestled in the fields of Evermore, Jessica & Colin tied the knot surrounded by cheer.
This romantic, rustic wedding was wrapped in eucalyptus and carefully curated florals by Styled With Love Weddings. The decor amplified against the barn walls, while the outdoor greenery joined in contrast with the black exterior of Evermore.
Jessica & Colin met 10 years ago in Kingston while both attending college. Once Colin spotted Jessica he asked her roommate about her, and as if it were kismet, found her at a party later and introduced himself. After dating awhile, the couple were headed back to Ottawa from a trip to Toronto. ‘Playing it cool,’ Colin wanted to treat Jessica to dinner in Kingston, and after a walk by the water- he dropped on one knee and asked Jessica to marry him.
Jessica began the wedding day at her best friend’s house in Kanata, Ontario, beaming the happiness she felt without a single concern for the weather. Later the maid of honours speech shared that Colin introduced the two best friends in college. After meeting Jess, he was convinced she would love his girlfriend, (now wife) Jessica. Jess watched over Jessica with such care, proud to see her on this day. In fact, the entire wedding party that morning were so proud of their friends.
We travelled to Evermore for the First Look, with breaks of sun promising it wouldn’t rain all day. Colin waited for Jessica under a weeping willow, nerves flourishing I’m sure! The wedding party’s blue suits and elegant pink dresses lined the hill in the distance. After a few tears of joy, they set off to marry.
As you know, I am a sucker for the groom’s reaction when seeing his bride. Even with a first look, the moment when you see your partner walking down the aisle will have you in tears. It’s a compelling moment and equally as amazing as finding the love of your life waiting for you at the end of the aisle.
The night progressed in pure celebration over a fantastic reception that lit of the dark fields around. Over a year ago, we asked Jessica and Colin what they would like to remember from their relationship right now, and they answered:
“What a great life we have built together.”
