Victoria, BC • Rebecca + Peter’s Wedding Photos
Staying Candid at a destination wedding on beautiful Vancouver Island.
With Japan, a sweet honeymoon, on the horizon- there were more surprises to come from these two. As the bride lined up with her bridesmaids for the elevator to their ceremony below, the sun broke the clouds apart into a wondrous blue sky. Rebecca was breath-taking in her vintage gown, soon to match the sharp blue suit of her husband-t0-be. The dress was classic silk look with subtle lace details worn over top. Although Rebecca’s dress was quite the catch- her hair and makeup played the vintage part, sealing the look with some red lips.
When Peter saw Rebecca, he could barely keep still. As a wedding photographer, I have to admit this moment on the aisle is one of my candid favourites. Peter’s eyes grew, and I believe he did not take his eyes off her for the rest of that day.
After the heart-warming ceremony, we gathered for portraits which were seemingly more candid than posed. I’m sure all at Laurel Point could hear the laughter from this group, perhaps even Fisherman’s Warf heard.
The evening picked up the pace as Ukranian dancers made their way to the floor, wowing onlookers in a handful of sets. As dancers spun, jumped and impressed the guests- I had a ton of fun capturing those candid shots!
