Edward + Chelsea + Athena’s Family Photos
We are huge Tragically Hip fans, and after capturing this session these lyrics matched the family session easy.

We gathered in beautiful Mer Bleue for a lively fall family session.
Little Athena brought her own light to the camera as her parents held her above the mossy mass below them. We passed family after family on the boardwalk, each celebrating the sunny Saturday in their own way.
We circled the path, stopping in between tall-pines and fallen trees as this family easily posed for a simple family session. Late September is an overlooked time of the year for the perfect, intimate photo session. Early morning light gets caught in the colour-changing foliage above, which is the perfect type of landscape for bright, candid photos.
I love catching up with a family like this! We had a ton of fun capturing Edward & Chelsea’s wedding and were in awe of how adorable their family has grown. During the session, I would grab a fern or maple leaf for an added soft-foreground, but it seemed Athena was more interested in exploring those greens herself! It was great to see what catches the attention of a young child and fills them with wonder.
Aside from leaves and ferns, Athena’s owl puppet made for a great distraction. I love seeing parents play with their children- eventually, that type of play stops but the memories never fade. Oh, the amazing curiosity of young ones!
