Edward + Chelsea’s Wedding Photos
An Ottawa Wedding is always a treat- but this one was backyard bliss mixed with the excitement that only a live jazz band can bring!
In an old Ottawa home, friends and family gathered to witness the beginning of a new chapter for Edward and Chelsea. This old home has found new life. As the young couple will be welcoming a new member of their family here. Between the mix of renovations to a new home, a soon to be baby and this wedding day, Edward and Chelsea created a beautiful day to celebrate taking each other’s hand.
“Come to me now and rest your head for just five minutes, everything is good.
Such a cozy room, the windows are illuminated by the evening,
Sunshine through them, fiery gems for you, only for you.”
This wedding required more candid photos. In fact, we did not aim to capture any posed portraits of family or friends. Instead, we caught the day through the lens, observing many laughs and high fives.
Non-traditional weddings hold a quaint opportunity to steer your own day and host something that is truly unique. Edward and Chelsea prepared for the day upstairs while their guests huddled around a butcher block in the kitchen. They surprised the crew mid-conversation by walking into the kitchen together and headed to the backyard.
You could surely see all eyes follow them through the room. They made their hellos and found themselves under the tree they would be married beneath. The evening was filled with bright colorful personalities, led by a jazz band from Montreal at the Orange Art gallery in Ottawa, Ontario.
Purple light filled the room as it got darker outside, and people began to move, dance and celebrate.
