Jono + Julie’s Wedding Photos

High-Contrast and bright eyes- we adored capturing this romantic wedding. It all took place at The British Hotel in Aylmer, QC but as storybooks do, it began with an unfortunate event first.

When I met Jono and Julie in March, the two leaned into each other which discussing their day, which involved a candid first look on Aylmer’s waterfront. As Spring began to thaw, the waterfront flooded, leaving us to find a new location just as sweet and close by. I took a quick trip one April evening to scout Boucher Forest, while the couple’s friends shared helpful suggestions near the venue location (The British) as well.

Settled on Boucher Forest, we excitedly prepared for the Spring wedding. And then, as storybook tales do, the night before the wedding I got a text message from the bride to be: ‘We found the perfect spot for tomorrow! [Address Provided]’

I quickly looked up the spot on Google with some intense investigating and couldn’t believe our luck. The property looked as though it was a pop-out page in a House & Home magazine. We arrived earlier than the couple to have a chance to find the best portrait spots. Under tall, dark trees and cloudy skies, we found romantic, contrast portraits.

I had to ask the couple how they knew the owners of this home; they didn’t! The night before the wedding they drove by the home, fell in love with the property and decided to knock on the door. They simply asked.

See, Jono first saw Julie at their Church in Carelton Place, ON. He found her great at planning tasks, but also very cute. Jono asked Julie for coffee and eight months later, asked her to be his wife.

From a perspective meant to capture their wedding in a candid, photojournalistic manner, their absolute love for each other is luminescent.
