Krystina + Parker’s Elopement
We stepped into beautiful Mer Bleue Bog in Ottawa, Ontario and caught a glimpse of high school sweethearts’ Krystina and Parker’s elopement. The crisp October morning had a bright blue sky that shined in contrast to the golden leaves around us; which is a nice touch in Ottawa as great fall weather cannot be guaranteed! After a short walk down one path, we met under some tall, bare pines. Krystina and Parker locked eyes under those towering trees, while their two friends watched with warm hearts.
Three years ago, the couple set out early one morning to catch the sunrise over the water in Barcelona. They were alone, and while taking in the wondrous sight that was their own, Parker asked Krystina if she would marry him. The two chose to elope because they aimed to find a wedding that suited them. Ottawa has a bountiful selection autumn locations to tie the knot, but Mer Bleue Bog was the perfect spot for their elopement.
As the couple said their vows the sun illuminated the bog behind them, the water sparkled and the warmth of the sun could still be felt.
After the romantic ceremony, we explored the rest of the paths easily finding unique spots to grab a one-of-a-kind portraits. While strolling under bridges of bright, colorful leaves Krystina and Parker kept their eyes locked on each other. These two Halifax sweethearts recently moved to Ottawa, and are beginning a few new chapters this year. The biggest, their beautiful elopement.
Krystina and Parker continued to celebrate their day by indulging in the amenities of Nordik Spa in Chelsea, QC, followed by a romantic dinner. Congratulations you two! I’m very happy to have had a chance to catch such a breathtaking day.
