Erin + Louis’s Wedding Photos

Natural, laid-back photography at it’s finest! This handsome groom and barefoot bride tied the knot at Manotick’s Long Island Conference Center on the banks of Rideau River. From early day high winds to mid-day pouring rain, this magical day ended with a cotton candy sunset. Erin and Louis were the perfect couple to experience all types of weather for their wedding day, as they embraced the elements for natural, candid portraits.

These romantics sparked in front of the lens in the Fall of 2018 at Pink Lake, and even more so at their waterfront wedding. The venue was a sweet, intimate spot perfect for celebrating with friends and family. Tiny red cabins lined the paths between the hall and tent, with bright-eyed faces poking in and out of the doors. The rustic hall held the ceremony as the rain poured down, interrupting the proceedings with the sound of rain hitting the roof. Friends rushed to the welcoming tent under umbrellas and quickly began to indulge in the literary decor and tasty treats.

The decor was focused on their well-loved books, with passages beautifully posted around the glowing tent. A unique seating chart stood wonderfully in front of guests, as their cake towered on the other side of the room. This forest wedding matched the bride’s flowing dress and natural, ethereal decorations.

Uniquely, as the bride walked down the aisle to Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles, and as the newlywed couple danced their first dance that night the sun came out before resting for another day. Before departing, Max and I snuck the couple outside for a few sunset portraits. From start to finish, we were able to capture luxe, film-like photos of this wedding. As an Ottawa Valley photographer, this spot has to be one of my favourites!

June weddings sure are the best!
